Achievements of Hinopak Motors Limited under Mr. Irfan Shaikh’s Tenure

In 1999 when the Hinopak Motors Limited was having huge losses Japanese Management gave responsibility to Mr. Irfan Shaikh to cope up with the situation and appointed him as General Manager Marketing.

He then started to chalk out the sales and marketing strategies as per the situation and in the span of only 1 year. His hard work supported by his team resulted in a break even situation in the same year 2000. He even generated a modest profit of Rs. 5 million.

In June 2001 the Japanese Management promoted Mr. Irfan Shaikh as Director Sales & Marketing in appreciation of his extra-ordinary efforts for Hinopak Motors Limited. And as such has become the first Pakistani Director to represent Hino Motors Japan on the board of Hinopak Motors Limited.

In his tenure Hinopak managed to achieve following achievements;

In year 2009, Hinopak sales revenue increased from Rs. 811 million to 12 billion (15 times).

In year 2007, Hinopak achieved extra ordinary results in terms profitability with a figure of Rs. 904 million.

Equity reserves of Hinopak successfully reached to more than 2 billion in year 2007 from a negative figure Rs. 92,000 (in year 1999).

In year 2005, Mr. Mohammad Irfan Shaikh took keen measures for helping the Earthquake victims in the northern areas of Pakistan by providing tents, mattresses, blankets and other essential items from the platform of Hinopak Motors Limited.

In his leadership Rs. 1.6 million also raised by Hinopak employees for Ziarat earthquake victims in year 2009.

He also convinced Hinopak Japanese Management for donation of Hino GT3H Cargo Truck which was handed over to Governor Sindh, Dr. Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan to the President Relief Fund for the rehabilition of earthquake victims in year 2005.

In year 2004, Hinopak donated Mobile Eye Clinic to Government of Pakistan. The clinic was presented to General Pervez Musharraf.
